Who Are Sloan Solicitors?

Peter AC Sloan has been engaged in the practice of law since 1985. In 2006, he established his independent practice in Theale, with the primary objective of developing a conveyancing service grounded in his personal experiences and dedicated to providing excellent service to all clients. His practice has been based in Wokingham for the last ten years.

Sloan Solicitors holds a substantial presence in the Wokingham community, much like Clifton Ingram, and will be integrated into Clifton Ingram on the 2nd of January 2024.

Councillor Stephen Conway, the Wokingham Borough Council leader, says “I'm delighted that two well-respected law firms in Wokingham are joining forces. Together, they provide a wide range of support to residents and local businesses. I look forward to the growing firm expanding on their notable contribution to our community over the years which has included support of organisations such as the Wokingham Lions, and the Wokingham Winter Carnival, First Day’s Children’s Charity and Arts4Wokingham.”

How Will Sloan’s Current Clients Be Affected?

Clifton Ingram stands as a full-service legal firm, distinguished for providing extensive legal counsel to both businesses and individuals. Consequently, it is imperative for existing clients of both firms to know that operational continuity will persist seamlessly.

This merger signifies an enhancement of the ongoing endeavours for clients across the Thames Valley, Surrey, and Hampshire, as we celebrate the amalgamation of two esteemed local entities.

What Does This Mean for Clifton Ingram?

While operations remain unaffected, employees at our Wokingham office will welcome new colleagues in the upcoming year, as all personnel from Sloan Solicitors relocated to the Clifton Ingram Wokingham office on the 2nd of January.

This acquisition follows the successful integration of Bells Solicitors, one of the UK's oldest law firms, in May 2021. These strategic acquisitions align seamlessly with Clifton Ingram's long-term growth objectives, fortifying our position.

Anticipating a substantial 36% increase in growth and revenue post-mergers, 2024 and beyond promise to be prosperous years for the firm.

What Our Team Says About the Merger

Peter, who has joined Clifton Ingram as a Consultant, says, “I am confident that, with our shared values of exemplary client care at an extremely important moment in their lives, and the capacity to offer a comprehensive range of legal services alongside our conveyancing expertise, this transition will prove advantageous for my clients.”

Anne Deller, Managing Partner at Clifton Ingram, echoes this sentiment, stating, “We are thrilled that Sloan Solicitors have joined us. Bringing together years of collective experience and shared values will undoubtedly contribute to the ongoing growth of Clifton Ingram and will further enhance the excellent legal services we have always provided to our clients throughout the Thames Valley, Surrey, and Hampshire.”
